For nearly 15 years, I’ve owned a small business right here in Springdale. Along the way, I’ve seen firsthand how city decisions affect our neighborhoods, our businesses, and our future. My journey, from building a business and mentoring local cosmetology students, to volunteering in our schools, with the swim team, and at my church, has always been about helping others thrive. And that’s what shaped the four pillars of my campaign.

Bring a Fresh Perspective
- My opponent has been on the Springdale City Council since 1993. After more than 30 years, it’s easy to get locked into the same way of thinking.
- I’ll bring the viewpoint of a mother in a bi-racial household, a small business owner who had to navigate the rigors of city codes, and of an active member of the community who listens to the concerns of ALL of our neighbors.
- I will support Public Services by connecting local schools with companies interested in providing needed resources.
- I will help connect business owners with young people by pushing to enable home-based businesses to offer internships, giving the next generation the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.
Attract New Businesses To Open Storefronts
- I’ll work with the Planning Commission to identify gaps in business representation, then will contact established businesses from other regions to let them know what Springdale has to offer.
- I will collaborate with other agencies to start a revitalization of District 4, by promoting the fact that there is an existing tax abatement for getting new businesses in empty storefronts within our Commercial sector.

Empowering Voters
- I’ll provide information on how to register to vote, on election dates, and on any updates to voter laws.
- I’ll reach out to churches, schools, and community organizations to make myself available for talks with their leadership and members.
- I will encourage residential property improvements by building more awareness of resources like the city’s home improvement grant program.
- I will promote awareness of programs like the city’s home improvement grants so more residents can access resources to improve their homes and strengthen our neighborhoods.
Improve How the City Communicates With You, The People Who Live Here
- I’ll utilize online tools so residents can have more input on, and awareness of, local legislative efforts. This may include sending out questionnaires to gain insights on specific issues that are important to them.
