Message of Gratitude
Dear Neighbor,
It’s the day after the election, and as your newly elected Springdale City Councilwoman for District 4, I want to express my deepest gratitude.
I am thankful to God for giving me the strength and health to run this campaign. To my husband, Dave, who helped give voice to the message in my heart; to my sons, who stood in the cold for hours sharing campaign materials; and to Dan Messer, our campaign treasurer, thank you for believing in me.
To every volunteer who knocked on doors, talked with neighbors, or waved a sign on the corner with a smile, your dedication made this victory possible. I am also grateful for the support of the Princeton Support Staff Association, the Ohio Association of Public and State Employees, and Radio Cincinnati, “¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo!”
And most of all, thank you to the voters of Springdale. Throughout this campaign, I heard your concerns, your hopes, and your dreams for our city. I see you, I hear you, and now I have the honor of serving you.
I’m humbled by the trust you’ve placed in me and will work every day to be worthy of your support; to help build a stronger, more connected Springdale for everyone. Thank you, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together over the next four years.
Sincerely,

Amy Thompson

Closing Message 2025
Dear Neighbor,
As Election Day approaches, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn about the candidates who wish to represent you on Springdale City Council. My name is Amy Thompson, and for the past 15 years, I’ve been proud to call Springdale home. As a wife, mother, small-business owner, and community volunteer, I’ve seen firsthand how local leadership can shape the daily lives of our families and neighborhoods.
My campaign has always been about integrity, transparency, and teamwork. After more than 30 years in office, my opponent’s decisions, such as voting against online tax payments and supporting one-way street changes opposed by residents, show how disconnected he has become over time. I believe Springdale’s District 4 deserves representation that listens, communicates, and works with the people, not around them.
You may wonder why this local election matters. The truth is, city government has the most immediate impact on our daily lives, far more than most realize. City Council determines how our tax dollars are spent, how our neighborhoods develop, and how responsive our city is to the needs of its residents. From improving streets and safety, to supporting schools and small businesses, these decisions shape our quality of life. That’s why it’s essential to elect someone who not only understands these responsibilities but also shares your values and genuinely cares about seeing every member of our community thrive.
I’m running to bring a fresh perspective, revitalize our business community, empower voters, and improve communication between City Hall and residents. I’m proud to have earned endorsements from the Princeton Support Staff Association (PSSA), the Ohio Association of Public and State Employees (OAPSE), and Radio Cincinnati; organizations that share the democratic values of honesty, inclusion, and service. Together, we can build a more connected, forward-thinking Springdale, one that honors our past while preparing for a bright future. On November 4, I humbly ask for your vote.
Sincerely,

Amy Thompson

An Introduction
Dear Neighbor,
My name is Amy Thompson, and I’m running for Springdale City Council in District 4. For the past 15 years, I’ve been proud to call Springdale home. As a small business owner, a mentor to local students, and a volunteer with our schools, swim team, and church, I’ve built my life around helping others thrive. That same commitment is at the heart of my campaign.
First, I want to bring a fresh perspective.
As a mother in a biracial household, a business owner who’s navigated city codes, and an active member of our community, I understand the importance of representation. I’ll work to strengthen public services and make sure our schools have access to the resources they need to succeed.
Second, I want to attract new businesses.
Vacant storefronts are missed opportunities. I’ll partner with the Planning Commission and regional companies to bring fresh investment into Springdale, while promoting existing tax incentives that encourage growth in our commercial corridors.
Third, I want to empower voters.
Every resident deserves a voice. I’ll make sure people have clear information about registration, election dates, and local programs like home improvement grants. I’ll also meet with churches, schools, and community groups to listen and connect directly.
And finally, I want to improve how the city communicates with you.
Too often, decisions are made without enough community input. I’ll use online tools, surveys, and regular updates to ensure every resident can stay informed and engaged.
At the end of the day, this campaign is about you. It’s about leadership that listens, welcomes fresh ideas, and puts people first.
On November 4, I humbly ask for your vote. “Together, we can make Springdale stronger.”
Sincerely,

Amy Thompson
