Testimonial From Resident, Yesenia Natali Alcala

Friends and family that live in Springdale, meet Amy Thompson the candidate for Springdale City Council District 4!

Amy is very familiar with Springdale as she has been in the community for many years and understands first-hand the areas of opportunity for this neighborhood, especially in Heritage Hill, where there is a great Hispanic population.

What really stands out to me about Amy is her commitment to innovative perspectives which includes communities that have been marginalized for years and are half-supported. When I heard about Amy, I was very pleased to know that there is someone willing to say: I see you, I hear you, and I include you because your needs are also my needs because it affects us all as a community.

That way of representing an entire multicultural community at a time like now requires the guts Amy demonstrates she has. Amy is not seeking to exclude anyone or force “adaptation” but rather seeking community unity through the issues affecting the entire Springdale community of District 4. For this reason, her motto is, “One of us.” A voice for all.”

This is something that has also resonated with other members of the community, such as Radio Cincinnati who has just acknowledged their official support for Amy. This decision was not taken lightly as Radio Cincinnati first interviewed Amy about her candidacy. Amy now needs the specific support of the Heritage Hill community so I invite those who can vote, and live in the area, to consider voting for her. I also invite you to watch the interview Amy did with Radio Cincinnati.
